BOOTS opens a brand new store in Covent Garden today as part of setting the stage for the store of the future.

The 2500 sq m store – formerly a Marks & Spencer – has two floors.  The ground floor is dedicated to beauty and the upper level hosts a pharmacy, the optical store, as well as the retailer’s biggest wellness range to date.

Here’s what to expect from the new Boots in Covent Garden:

A premium look. A friendlier pharmacy. An express pharmacy checkout with collection of the prescription from a locker. A new emphasis on wellness.  Beauty revamp: color consultations and a mask bar, new beauty brands, including sustainable skincare brand Beauty Kitchen and beauty supplement brand “Equi”, & worth mentioning, no more plastic bags!

STORE OF THE FUTURE

“Our new Covent Garden store starts a journey of reinventing Boots for the future”

“The store is full of exciting beauty brands, ideas for living well and services to help you get better. We will learn what people love and want from this shop, and this will help us shape a blueprint for our whole 2,500-store estate.”

Sebastian James, Boots managing director
A friendlier pharmacy, with a more premium look

The flagship store will offer Boots’ biggest ever wellness range, with 36 new brands and over 300 new lines, including eco-friendly, vegan, and organic toiletries, sustainable items and CBD products.

Customers will be able to refill their water bottles at the ‘Rehydrate Station’, as an option away from snacking on high sugar refreshment and energy drinks, by no longer including them as part of the Meal Deal.

An ‘Innovation Studio’ will house cutting-edge health and fitness technology like FitBit, while ecological brand ‘Beauty Kitchen’ will let customers refill their bottles with its organic skincare products.

A FRIENDLIER PHARMACY

Boots has redesigned the pharmacy area to make it warmer with a more inviting space. The pharmacy will offer two new services – UTI Test & Treat which allows pharmacists to prescribe antibiotics without the need to see a doctor and the new Skin Scanning Service, a first of its kind in the UK to help people understand and treat skin conditions. The optical area is equipped with seating and carpets to be more welcoming.
